The rates differ based on what clients order in a month – the turnaround time needed, number of speakers, timestamps etc. The maximum at $3.32/minute of recording transcribed and the minimum rate at $1.63/minute of recording to be transcribed. In JULY 2021, we again hit ABOVE the Australian average hourly rate for typists and the living wage in Australia, with our average rate at $2.19/minute of recording. So the rate for these types of projects would be more. For example, having more than two speakers, or inserting time-codes into a recording makes that recording take longer to transcribe. Basically, the longer we think it will take to transcribe a recording, the higher the rates we charge clients and the higher rates we offer to transcribe that recording.
